This distinctive meditation mala (rosary) features a tiny Om symbol on each of its 108 dyed bone beads. The number 108 holds spiritual significance across several cultures, and it is believed that by counting 108 prayers or mantras the practitioner moves closer to the spiritual center of the universe. A single guru bead at the top of the mala indicates the starting point for prayer. Beads measure 7-8 mm approx. Mala measures about 28 inches long.
Handmade in Nepal. Minor variations in color and bead size may be apparent and add to the individual artistic character of each item.
